A song written for Kaye who continues to teach me about finding the golden moments in life. Turns out there are more of them than I expected.
Yes, it's me! The artist names c.a. nelson and Chris Nelson both refer to me. Over the years, there has been an increasing number of Chris Nelsons releasing music as, you guessed it, Chris Nelson. We are all fighting over the same spots on Spotify, etc. To eliminate confusion and frustration for both myself and fans, I decide in 2021 to change my artist name to c.a. nelson. It's not as cool as when Prince changed his name to a symbol but I think it will do. I am currently working with the streaming sites to do an “Artist Separation" so my songs and page will not be shared with the other Chris Nelsons. This is requiring much patience on my part, but will hopefully be completed in the coming year.

A special gift for my wife, who indeed is the Christmas Queen. It was a very merry Christmas in 2021!
A personal favorite from my 2012 release, Weathered by the Storm.
From A Part of Me, this song is a reminder that healing begins when we cease fighting.
Life is to be lived.
Out of my catalog of songs Chasing You is my best friend Jimmy's favorite. It was originally written for the EP, A Part of Me, which was released in 2016. Jimmy loves the original but always felt it could be a love song, so I humored him. The result is the video on the right. Enjoy!
Away with Me was originally written and recorded with Seth Maxwell in 2007-2008, see video on right. The song later showed up on the setlist for our band, Stone Brew, where additional voices and instruments gave the song a bigger sound. In 2015, I collaborated with Miriam Solman where we slightly changed the song and recorded it as The Space Between.
